Some observations from the table:

  • Metro Los Angeles is the largest market for audio-visual technicians.  It is also the metro area with substantially more jobs in this field relative to its population
  • New York does have a sizable market, and it is slightly larger than one would expect, given the city’s size.  It is the other major market for A/V techs.
  • Other markets that have more AV tech jobs, relative to population: Boston, San Francisco, Orlando San Jose, Austin, Pittsburgh, and Las Vegas.
  • Houston, Philadelphia, Phoenix, and Detroit have substantially fewer jobs than one might expect for cities of their sizes
