It is part of a larger project called Content Creation Jobs, which aims to create study- and career-planning resources for students with a passion and personal aptitude for content creation. How are Programs Chosen? These listings were developed using the Department of Education’s Integrated Postsecondary Education Data (IPEDS) System. This data includes information on government-registered U.S. postsecondary education institutions. I narrowed down this database to schools in metro NYC through zip codes associated with New York City’s Core-Based Statistical Area in the March 2020 Census Delineation File. Then, I matched the database’s listed programs to the Standard Occupation Classification (SOC) codes featured in Content Creation Jobs using the CIP-SOC Crosswalk File, a joint venture between Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) and the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES). This set represents BLS and NCES analysts’ efforts to link SOC codes to the Classification of Instructional Program (CIP) classification system of postsecondary programs. So the programs listed in this series describe their programs in ways that analysts at the BLS and NCES believe are relevant to the careers featured in this project.
Minimum Class Size. Our list is restricted to programs that graduated at least five students in 2021.
